I am really interested in building a home out of containers. I would like to build a decent size home, maybe 4 bedrooms. I have seen some pretty big homes built with containers. I'm trying to figure out what the cost would be start to finish, from design to construction. Also, are there any companies in the NorthEast (maybe NJ) who design and build these types of homes?

http://www.quik-build.com/index.htm is the 1st place i would recommend going to 1st. They are located in Bernardsville, N.J.
All of you questions cannot be answered here on this forum about prices and delievery charges.
All of these items and procedures fluctuate not only in all US states every day to every week but important things to examine (which i recommend you doing some internet searching) are what size container? 20ft',40ft'? Are you looking for a used or brand new container? big difference in prices!
Do you want an "already finished container home ready to move into" like the above link in the beginning of this post reply or are you wanting to start from scratch and do it yourself which would involve a crew, delivery methods, either a flat-bed-truck or a crane or both?
If you chose the DIY method, I highly suggest that you do reasearch on welders and steel cutters in your area. So, with that said, I wish you good luck on your new venture but i would start by going to:
http://www.quik-build.com/index.htm because they are located in N.J. and Do Sell Completed Container Homes that are ready and almost ready to move into and i believe they have delivery. You can also try this company: http://www.shippingcontainers24.com/container-homes/examples/quik-house/

Good Luck !
